J had the first of his many holidays events this weekend: a gingerbread house making workshop. He puts together the gingerbread houses and the families just need to show up and decorate! J provides the very creative candy options for the decorations. He has offered this in his town for the last 3 years. The first year, he sold all 10 houses he bought. Last year, he offered more, 15, and sold out again. So this year he upped it to 25 ... and sold out with a waiting list.
Guess which unemployed chick got to help him put together those 25 houses on Friday??? THE VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR, of course.
All the hard work was worth it to see the happy (and candy-induced hyper) children on Saturday.
Toddler and I made a gingerbread train today, except she did more eating than helping.
