The story behind the believe rock

Lots of people have been asking what that item is that I am holding up in front of the state signs.

It is a clear rock with a cross and the word "believe" and it was given to us by our second Mom in Phoenix. Someone had given it to her when her youngest son died tragically in a construction accident and she needed to believe. The one-year anniversary of his death is actually today.

I have been carrying the rock in my pocket since Maine and it is a reminder that God is with us every step of the way and that you have to believe to get to Georgia. I haven't asked our "Mom" yet, but we would like to leave the rock at Springer Mtn in GA for another hiker to carry and use for inspiration.
